Since Bryan Singer has his Twitter account, who needs a public relations person? When Singer has an announcement for his upcoming return to the X-Men franchise, “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” all he has to do is post it to Twitter and the news takes care of itself. One perfect case in point was the recent announcement that Hugh Jackman would be returning in the new movie as Wolverine. It went from a post on Twitter to headlines on a lot of websites quicker that Nightcrawler can teleport.

This past weekend, Singer took to Twitter again to announce that three more cast members from the the original trilogy will be returning to their roles in this new film. He wrote, “Very excited to welcome #annapaquin, @ellenpage & @shawnrashmore to #Xmen @DaysofFuturePast” and followed it with this remark, “… thank you @BrettRatner for letting them live!” That was obviously a reference to the fact that they did not get killed off in the movie as some of the characters were.

They join Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and as cited above, Hugh Jackman in the cast for the upcoming film. It is unknown if any other members of either previous casts will be joining the group or not at this time. One such character seem to be Emma Frost, who was played in X-Men: First Class by January Jones. In an interview, Jones reported that she has not been told if she will be in the film or not.

According to reports, the film will go before cameras in April of this year, with a release date of July 18, 2014 planned. However, fans of the X-Men will not have to wait that long to get the next movie, as “The Wolverine” starring Hugh Jackman is scheduled to be released this year on July 23.

It is going to be interesting to see how this film continues to come together. According to reports, the plot is based on a story that appeared in “Uncanny X-Men” in 1981. It will look at the group of mutants in the 1960′s First Class group, and then look to a very dark future, where mutants are hunted down.

We’ll have more information on this film as it becomes available here on SoEntertain.Me as it comes in. Come back and check the site often for updates.
